The Government project “Computer for every child” is a part from the initiative “Education and Training for Everyone”, based on the National program for the development of the education (2005-2015). For the purpose of this project, a supply of 17,818 personal computers, 98,710 LCD monitors, 98,710 keyboards and 80,892 tin clients were made for the primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia. These computers will be used as tools for the realization of the educational program and as tools to access the educational digital contents which are available in Internet. This is the largest project in the country's 18 years of existence. After successfully becoming the first country on the planet that is completly covered by wireless internet, the ambition is to achieve 1:1 ratio of computers per pupil in the public schools.
