Nigeria: Globacom Commissions Optic Fibre Backbone

Globacom's efforts to provide excellent telecommunications services to Nigerians got a huge boost yesterday as the National Operator launched the Onitsha-Awka-Enugu route of its nationwide Optic Fibre Cable backbone.

The project was commissioned by the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Peter Obi, at the Enugu-Onitsha Express Way, Onitsha. The Governor led the State Executive Council accompanied by the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe to the event.
